About

Barwell Indoor Bowling Club opened its doors to the public in January 1988. A group of local business men joined forces to facilitate the building of The Club believing it would be a valuable addition to the Kirkby Road Sports Complex which already comprised of outdoor bowling, cricket and football clubs. The aim from the outset was to provide the local community of Barwell and beyond with a thriving indoor bowling and social amenity.

The Club has developed significantly over the years attracting a growing number of members. Considerable improvements have been and continue to be made in order to offer members first class facilities. Member satisfaction is a priority and something the club prides itself on.

B.I.B.C. provides its members with a quality six rink green on which a range of casual bowling, leagues, competitions and inter-club matches take place. From beginners to more experienced players there is something for everyone. Coaching programmes are available for new members and a junior group provides regular training for the next generation of bowlers.

The Club boasts a friendly atmosphere with a comfortable lounge area and well-stocked bar for the enjoyment of its members and guests.

The ‘Jack High Restaurant’ is an asset to The Club offering excellent catering services and a varied menu. The self service Sunday carvery is particularly popular.

Regular entertainment evenings take place at the club for the enjoyment of its members and guests. These evenings are always well attended and offer  great value at only £10 a ticket with food included in the price. The Club is also available to host private functions (i.e. weddings, funerals, parties, meetings etc…) by special arrangement.

B.I.B.C. has disabled access and toilet facilities and is wheelchair friendly with ample parking to the front of the building.

A warm welcome is extended to anyone visiting our Club.
