Junior Open Day

On 16th August the club held its first Junior Open Day. Young people aged 6-17 years were invited to come along and take part in a fun introduction to bowls. The session consisted of various activities and competitions with prizes being presented to the winners. We would like to thank everyone who attended and hope to see those interested in pursuing bowls at our regular Junior training sessions. The day was a big success and we will definitely be holding more of these open days specifically aimed at encouraging young people into the sport in the future.  More

Special Olympics

Barwell member Alex Comack recently represented the East Midlands playing bowls at the Special Olympics GB National Games. This was held in Sheffield between 7th-12th August. Alex played extremely well bringing home a silver medal in the triples which was presented to him by world number one champion Greg Harlow. We would like to congratulate Alex on his success, what an amazing achievement! More
